We provide creative design and engineering consultancy services to performing arts venues. We prepare feasibility studies, concept designs as well as full construction and schematic designs. From the initial meeting with the client we listen and advise. We are an independent company and alongside our installation experience we are in a good position to specify the right equipment for the job and create a cost effective solution. We can also oversee the project and complete independent commissioning services.
Servicing and PAT testing not only helps compliance in maintaining electrical equipment in a safe and usable condition but will also ensure that you get the peak performance from the equipment avoiding expensive breakdowns and repairs which will also extend the working life of the equipment. We service and PAT test all types of theatre lanterns, LED and intelligent lights, audio and video equipment.
We provide a full design and build service giving continuity throughout the process from the initial meeting to discussing requirements, providing drawings, working within budgets, sourcing and purchasing the correct products for the clients needs through to installation, managing sub-contractors, commissioning, hand-over and training and assisting in the first performance.
Otago Blue Ltd offers a full range of tailored inspection, preventative maintenance and service packages for sound, video and lighting systems and equipment. We can deliver a one off inspection, annual service to full care packages creating a custom cost-effective solution.
We regularly work with the latest theatre technologies and have been involved in specifying new entertainment products. We are specialists at integrating these new technologies by designing and commissioning integral and bespoke solutions into installations. These not only meet the client’s current needs but future proof the infrastructure for future technological advances.
Specialist performance systems, which are not regularly maintained and inspected by experienced engineers, can cause potential risk to staff, students and the public. We undertake Electrical Installation Condition Reports on theatre lighting systems and general venue electrical systems. Our fully qualified and experience engineers will provide an NICEIC certificate for the installation with any observations and recommendations.
We have a wealth of experience and knowledge in the complexity of entertainment venues. We offer a comprehensive installation and commissioning service. As an NICEIC electrical contractor we provide the electrical backbone to these systems as well as the specialist audiovisual and control-cabling infrastructure. Our specialist engineers will install the entertainment equipment, test and commission the systems and provide training. Site staff each hold a variety of health & safety training credentials, ECS or CSCS certified and DBS checked.
