Training / Guildhall Chard

Continual Professional Development (CPD) never ends and this month undertaking the 18thEdition BS7671 wiring course. It was good chance to discuss the changes to the regulations and to work out how they affect the entertainment industry although the IET are already writing the next amendment. There are many changes but some that will effect us are energy efficiency, use of approved manufacturers parts, arc fault detection devices and more detailed clarification on surge protection.

We also worked at a new venue ‘The Guildhall’ in Chard whom approached us as they wanted to use a local firm to look after their systems. We undertook and electrical installation condition report (EICR) on the entertainment system, serviced and PAT tested all the theatre lighting equipment and audio visual equipment, we also had an associate company undertake a thorough examination and test of the stage lifting equipment. Otago Blue Ltd can look after your entire entertainment systems and also offer venue service and care packages.
