PAT training for theatre technicians

We delivered hopefully the first of many specifically designed courses for theatre technicians responsible for servicing and PAT testing entertainment equipment. Having delivered ‘in service inspection and testing of electrical equipment’ courses before, we tailored this course specifically towards the complexities of entertainment equipment. From inspecting and testing theatre lanterns to audio equipment racks. Some of the attendees had experience of general PAT testing and others with no experience. It was an interesting and challenging course. If you would like any training delivered at your venue call us to discuss bespoke solutions.

We also attended another brilliant ABTT show at the wonderful Alexander Palace location. As always it is the show for us, just the right size allowing us to catch up with industry suppliers and make new contacts. We attended an interesting seminar on the implications of the new version of BS7676 on the entertainment industry and we even had an impromptu meeting with representatives of the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) to discuss the implications of the proposed withdrawal by the Joint Industry Board (JIB) of the Electrotechnical Certification Scheme (ECS) related discipline card for the entertainment industry.
