System Integrator

Systems Integrator

Technological advancements in entertainment equipment now allows for a wider variety of
control methods from local button panels to touch screens and remote mobile devices. This
has increased the demands from venues for centralised control systems which can dim the
house lights, open the stage curtains and run the show lighting, audio and video systems.
This has led to a lot of our work designing and commissioning integral and bespoke
solutions.

Some of our work as systems integrators is as a third party for large cruise ship projects
including theatres, nightclubs, bars, LED video walls, low-resolution video effect screens,
outdoor stages, activity rooms and even go-kart tracks.

As well as entertainment systems, we also work on LED solutions for architectural and
commercial projects.

LED products have been around for a number of years offering lower power consumption
and greater life expectancy than conventional lamps. As this technology has developed so
has the reliability, brightness and reduction in production costs.

Another advantage of LED’s is that with the correct manufacturing procedure they can
easily be used in outdoor products with various different degrees of ingress protection. This
has led to an increase in their use in architectural and landscape designs with some
stunning results.

In the entertainment industry we have been working on a number of projects using LED
video walls from Barco and Martin which have created some excellent outdoor and indoor
entertainment solutions.

Over the past few years we have been working with Traxon Technologies Ltd to create
entertainment and commercial low resolution video products using LED technology. By
designing and constructing enclosures to house the LED’s, covering with a Barrisol diffusion
and clever control systems controlling each individual LED we have created spectacular
and interesting results at a fraction of the cost of a dedicated video wall.  We wish to
develop this area and can see a market for architectural, commercial and entertainment
solutions.

This is an exciting time for the industry as video and lighting start to merge together with
some interesting outcomes. The possibilities for commercial and architectural applications
are endless.
